We had a pretty good time this year during Halloween Weekend at Crazy J's. The new ownership did a good job with check-in by doing so prior to entering the park. That kept from having a parking issue up by the office - something most parks have an issue with. We were in site 262 - it was kind of slim but we found a way to make it work with extra hoses for water and extension cords. WiFi was non-existent mostly because the office is up on a hill. I would walk about 200 yards to the park each morning to get connected - there are a few little iron tables up there in the pine trees that work out fine so it was no huge deal. My iPhone didn't get reception either - same reason and solution.

As for the Halloween part of things, it's always a good time. Everyone has a great time with it - be prepared for a lot of adult beverages, shots, syringes with jello, you name it! It's a pretty rowdy weekend so if you aren't in to that sort of thing, this may not be the weekend for you.

The perm sites didn't seem to really mingle with the weekend folks. From what I heard there was actually a stabbing on Saturday night? Scary, but they were really well staffed with security and the police were readily available for the incident.

Pretty good time - we'll be back next year I'm sure!

We had a blast at Kastle (now Crazy J's) Campground in the Fall of 2010. We went for the Halloween weekend and they had an awesome gig in the woods at dusk - it was a great job by all the people involved in putting together the Haunted Woods thing. It was beautiful weather and the people that camp there generally seem real fun and friendly. There was a nice pool as well as a beach with a dock for fishing. Note: do not step into the water off the dock - although it looks three feet deep, the muck is about three more feet! I lost an iPhone learning that going for my 10 cent bobber. Anyway, the playground was pretty nice. Since it was a Halloween theme, our kids got to trick-or-treat too! We had a real fun time I I do think we will be returning for the Halloween festivities in 2011!

Our campground rests on over 128 acres of beautiful pine, maple, and oak trees, giving our campers a choice of sites ranging from shady wooded areas to partial sun sites!

All of our sites have water, 30/50 amp electric hookups and include a picnic table and fire pit. We have two dump stations for your convenience and pump outs are available for an additional charge. Whether you are looking for an overnight stop or a week long vacation, we have a site for you!!!

The campground is sprawled along Kinney Lake, a sparkling public lake that is home to perch, northern, bass, and pan fish. Fishing licenses are required. Take one of our rental boats to find your favorite fishing spot.

Enjoy canoeing, paddle boating, or bring you own boat and have a great time. A public boat launch is just outside the entrance to the park. There is also a nice sandy beach to sink your toes into....complete with our new floating toys for an afternoon of fun.
